Jenny Williams steps down as head coach of UNLV women’s soccer program
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Director of Athletics Erick Harper announced that Jenny Williams is stepping down as head women’s soccer coach for personal reasons.
A UNLV alumna, Williams spent six seasons at the helm of the program she once played for.
“We thank Jenny for her leadership and dedication to our women’s soccer program,” Harper said. “As a celebrated alumna, she has left a significant mark on our university, elevating our student-athletes to new heights both academically and athletically. Her teams consistently represented the Rebels with class and integrity in the classroom, on the field, and in the community, and we are grateful for her contributions. We wish her and her family all the best in their future endeavors.”
During her tenure, Williams guided the Rebels to three seasons with a .500-or-better record and a single-season school record for road win percentage in 2023 (6-2-2). Under her watch, the program celebrated six All-Mountain West selections, four conference all-newcomer picks and a Mountain West Tournament appearance in 2024.
She also led the Rebels to a 4-2 record in the Silver State Series against in-state rival UNR.
Additionally, the program reached new heights academically under her leadership, twice setting semester grade point average records, earning a 3.54 or higher GPA six times, and accumulating a combined 110 Academic All-Mountain West honors. A total of 40 of her student-athletes earned their degrees, graduating from UNLV.
A national search for the program’s next head coach will begin immediately.
