Taylor and Trista Morris reclassify to Class of 2025, sign with University of Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY — With the season just a couple months away, University of Louisville women’s soccer head coach Karen Feguson-Dayes announced the addition of two players to the 2025 roster. Taylor and Trista Morris both signed with the Cardinals after reclassifying and will join the team ahead of the 2025 season.
“Super excited to add Taylor and Trista to our 2025 class,” said Ferguson-Dayes. “Taylor is a dangerous and elusive forward who has a knack for scoring goals and Trista is an excellent defender who has the ability to play centrally or wide at the back! Both Taylor and Trista are high level athletes and it just made sense to start their development now!”
The twin sisters are local products who played at J. Graham Brown School and club for Racing Louisville Academy and coach Brian Ownby. Taylor, a forward, scored 104 goals and had 23 assists in her high school career. She was a second team All-State selection, two-time first team All-Region and two time first team All-District selection.
Trista, a defender, had 36 goals and 41 assists in her high school career. She was an All-State honorable mention, two-time first team all-region and three-time All-A Tournament team selection. During her club career, Trista was a ECNL Ohio Valley first team selection in 2024, second team selection in 2023 and was named to the ECNL Conference Cup squad.
The Louisville Cardinals begin the 2025 campaign on Thursday, August 14, as the Cardinals travel to Auburn for the season opener. It is part of a two-game road trip to begin the year as they face Vanderbilt on August 17.
