Detroit Mercy women’s soccer signs Michigan and Ohio heavy recruiting class

DETROIT – Detroit Mercy women’s soccer Head Coach Steve Shelton announced the signing of six newcomers as part of the 2025 recruiting class.

Gabby Garcia, Mary Garcia, Emma Henry, Brogan Hughes, Kiely Robinson, and Auden Stauffer have all signed with the Titans.

Gabby Garcia – F/MF

Hometown: Westlake, Ohio
High School: Magnificat
Club Team: Cleveland Force

Highlights:
• Four-year letter winner for head coach Johnny Kimani
• Named Player of the Year in 2024
• 2024 Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA) Division I All-Ohio and Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (GCSSCA) First-Team selection.
• Named Second-Team All-Ohioan with a goal and assist, helping lead the Blue Streaks to the Division I semifinal in 2023.

Mary Garcia – D

Hometown: Westlake, Ohio
High School: Magnificat
Club Team: Cleveland Force

Highlights:
• 2024 Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (GCSSCA) First-Team selection.
• Recorded an assist in the ENCL quarter-final playoff game with the Internationals Soccer Club, helping advance to the semi-finals.

Emma Henry – MF/F

Hometown: Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
High School: Bloomfield Hills
Club Team: Liverpool FC

Highlights:
• Four-year letter winner for head coach Alan Zacharia.
• Two-time Second-Team All-State (2023, 2024).
• Earned All-District honors helping lead Bloomfield Hills to a Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) State championship.
• Also a four-year letter winner and two-time All-State selection in field hockey (2024, 2025).

Brogan Hughes – MF

Hometown: Barnsley, England
High School: Barnsley Sports Academy
Club Team: Sheffield United

Highlights:
• Helped Barnsley win the PGA Cup in 2024.
• Participated in two England U-17 camps
• Named captain for England’s U-16 team
• Also played in a friendly match against Jamaica’s women’s first team at 16 years old with Sheffield United.

Kiely Robinson – MF/D

Hometown: Rochester Hills, Mich.
High School: Rochester
Club Team: Liverpool FC

Highlights:
• Four-year letter winner for head coach Doug Steinard
• All-District, All-League, and All-State Third Team selection as a junior.
• Also helped Rochester to a State semi-final appearance.
• Also a four-year letter winner and three-time all-league selection in basketball

Auden Stauffer – F

Hometown: Grand Rapids, Mich.
High School: Forest Hills Northern
Club Team: Midwest United FC

Highlights:
• Two-year letter winner for head coach Juan Torres
• Two-time All-Ottawa-Kent Conference (OKC) selection
