ECNL regular season comes to close this weekend
By Jimmy LaRoue
The Elite Clubs National League 2011-2012 regular season comes to a close this weekend with teams looking to solidify playoff positions.
Most teams in each of the age groups have locked up postseason berths, though Lonestar SC’s Under-15s, in 15th place out of the 16 Flight A teams that qualify for the playoffs with a 6-6-4 record, need a win or draw against the Dallas Texans to secure a berth. A loss drops them out of contention.
In the U-18s, Crossfire Premier, with a win over San Juan Soccer Club Saturday, can move into the final Flight A playoff spot, which would knock out the San Diego Surf, the 2011 U-17 champions.
