ECNL roundup: Locals clash as Southeast, Mid-Atlantic conference play resumes

Southeast and Mid-Atlantic conference teams took last week off from Elite Clubs National League play, but this coming weekend will see a showdown among local teams.
Bethesda SC and Freestate Soccer Alliance’s Under-14 through U-18 sides will play Saturday at Walter Johnson High School.
Southeast Conference U-14 sides Richmond Strikers and Virginia Rush return to action with games Saturday against FC Virginia and CASL Chelsea Ladies, respectively.
FC Virginia’s U-17s and U-14s are in first place, with the U-17s sporting a 13-2-2 record and a 2.41 points-per-game average, while the U-14s are 10-1-3, with a 2.36 ppg.
FC Virginia and Freestate Soccer Alliance’s U-18s, though, occupy the second and third place slots, respectively.
In the U-16s, McLean Youth Soccer, Freestate, Bethesda SC and Richmond Strikers hold down third through sixth place, in that order. In U-15 play, Freestate, McLean, FC Virginia and Bethesda sit third through sixth.
