D.C. United announce partnership with Gunston Soccer Club

(Via D.C. United) – D.C. United have announced a partnership with local youth club Gunston Soccer Club in an effort to improve player advancement for a professional pathway starting at a young age.
“It was clear to me that the focus of Gunston is to cultivate and grow top talent in the area,” Ryan Martin, director of United’s academy, said. “I look forward to working with the Gunston staff and building a relationship for years to come.”
Through the partnership, both D.C. United and Gunston SC will cooperate to combine and enhance resources for player development and Gunston will host United academy Talent Centers throughout the year. The two teams will have bi-annual scrimmages against each other and United coaching staff will lead educational sessions for Gunston SC coaches.
Gunston Soccer Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of Northern Virginia youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition.
