No. 4 Maryland men’s soccer defeats Tulsa 6-2 in preseason play

TULSA, Okla. (Via University of Maryland) – The No. 4 ranked Maryland men’s soccer team defeated Tulsa, 6-2, on Sunday in exhibition action.
Sophomore transfer Gordon Wild scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Terps. Sophomores Sebastian Elney, Jorge Calix and DJ Reeves and freshman Mike Heitzmann also scored for Maryland.
After surrendering a goal early in the second minute, Elney gave the Terps the equalizer in the 40th minute. Tulsa would answer with a penalty kick goal 10 minutes later before the Terps tallied five unanswered goals.
Maryland returns to action Wednesday when it plays host to Navy on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field.
