CHARLESTON, S.C. – US Club Soccer and its members will host eight U.S. Soccer ‘B’ coach licensing courses in Spring 2026, marking the highest number of ‘B’ courses offered in a six-month period in US Club Soccer history.
Since U.S. Soccer allowed its member organizations to host coach licensing courses nine years ago, US Club Soccer and its member clubs and leagues have led the way in making coach education more accessible, offering more than 2,000 courses.
Priority registration to the ‘B’ courses opens October 14 for US Club Soccer-registered coaches. Host leagues and clubs will send registration links to their members first. After one week, the registration pages become fully public until all spots are filled. All the spring courses follow the same timeline with virtual starts on January 5, two sets of 4-day in-person meetings in March and May, and a virtual close on June 19.
In an effort to increase the number of female coaches and better support their coaching journeys, the Jill Ellis Scholarship – created by U.S. Soccer in fall 2019 – reduces the cost of Pro, ‘A’ and ‘B’ licenses for female coaches by 50 percent. This is automatically applied when registered for a course.
Below are all the ‘B’ courses being offered in Spring 2026. US Club Soccer and its members hosted 13 ‘B’ courses in 2024 and 13 more in 2025. With more ‘B’ courses planned in Fall 2026, US Club Soccer is projecting a record number of courses next year.

US Club Soccer offers multiple stages of a coach’s licensing pathway, beginning with grassroots and progressing through ‘D,’ ‘C’ and now ‘B’ licenses. US Club Soccer also facilitates off-the-field developmental opportunities and resources for coaches, including complimentary curriculum from WeCOACH and Onrise Care that help make the game more accessible for girls and women in sports and offer mental health support specifically for coaches.
U.S. Soccer ‘B’ courses are the highest level of technical coach education US Club Soccer offers. It is considered among the “Pro Pathway” of U.S. Soccer’s coach licensing pathway, and as such, coach candidates are prepped to work with youth (U-13+) or senior teams in a performance environment. Course goals include applying and evaluating team and player development related to a game model, as well as analyzing, evaluating and optimizing the learning environment for the team and individual players.
Coaches wishing to take the ‘B’ course must meet the eligibility criteria for the course, be committed to completing the 120+ hours of coursework, which includes virtual meetings and two in-person meetings, as well as coach an age-appropriate team (U-13+) for the entirety of the course. Coaches are required to attend all sessions of the course, therefore, when searching the available courses, coaches are strongly encouraged to review the complete course schedule listed in each individual course description before registering.
Coaches who think they may be eligible for a waiver into the ‘B’ course based on international coaching licenses or professional playing experience must review the waiver FAQ’s document via the U.S. Soccer Learning Center. The document contains the instructions for the waiver process. US Club Soccer does not process waivers for courses.
