With three-fourths of the teams eliminated during group play of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Playoffs this past week, many Eastern Conference squads saw their season come to an end. Of the 26 teams from the conference that made the postseason, only three remain in the hunt for a Development Academy crown.
Storylines were plentiful this weekend in the Development Academy's Eastern Conference. At the U-15/16 level, Oakwood SC picked up yet another victory while the Orlando City SC U-17/18s also remain in first place after its win.

Oakwood SC forwards Simon Becher and Kamer Nuhiu have propelled the most prolific offense in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy's Northeast Division at the U-15/16 level. Their bond on and off the field has helped fuel the success of the scoring duo, which has combined for 24 of the team's division-leading 38 goals so far this season, and they are showing no signs of slowing down.
Despite high and dangerous winds forcing cancellations in the Northeast this weekend, there was still some riveting action across the U.S Soccer Development Academy's Eastern Conference, including match-ups between Eastern Pennsylvania foes, D.C. area rivals and Southern sides in the thick of the playoff hunt.
Many of the U-13/14s had off this weekend after the U.S. Development Academy's regional event in North Carolina, but there was still plenty of action across the USSDA and Elite Clubs National League for teams from the Tri-State area.
