EDP hires Karl Reddick as Pennsylvania Regional Manager

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Karl Reddick, a former standout player at Boston College and a club and ODP coach in Eastern Pennsylvania, has joined the EDP staff as Pennsylvania Regional Manager.

He will be responsible for maintaining EDP’s relationship with teams and clubs in Eastern Pennsylvania.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to join the EDP staff and to provide support for the growth of youth soccer in the country and, more specifically, Pennsylvania,” Reddick said.

“It’s exciting to bring someone with Karl’s qualifications into the EDP family,” EDP CEO Alan Shilling added.  “His soccer expertise and knowledge of the Pennsylvania region will be incredible assets as we continue to grow our brand in that market.”

Reddick brings several years of coaching experience at both the ODP and club levels to his new position.  Since 2012, he has been a head coach in the Olympic Development Program and resident camp director for the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association.  He has also worked as the Director of Coaching at Nether United, creating the program’s curriculum and mentoring players ages 4-23.

As a player, he was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Boston College, helping the Eagles post a 50-26-9 record and qualify for the NCAA Tournament every season.  Reddick was selected to the All-ACC Freshman Team in 2007 and was a Second Team All-ACC honoree in 2009, when he was also named Third Team All-South Atlantic Region by the NSCAA.  After appearing in 80 career games at Boston College, Reddick was invited to participate in the 2011 Major League Soccer Combine.

He holds a USSF National Class “C” coaching license and comes to EDP after a stint as an assistant coach at Widener College.
