D.C. United cuts ties with broadcast partner FloSports
D.C. United announced Thursday that the club has cut ties with broadcast partner FloSports after less than one season.
The move comes after multiple D.C. United matches, which were being live streamed to paid subscribers on FloSports, experienced technical issues during the broadcasts, causing fans to miss part or all of the action.
See below for D.C. United’s statement on the decision:
WASHINGTON (Oct. 3, 2019) – D.C. United’s home match against FC Cincinnati on Sunday, October 6 will be available to all fans free of charge through a live stream on dcunited.com. Coverage begins at 3:40 PM ET (4:25 PM kickoff). All Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoff games for the remainder of the season will be broadcast through Major League Soccer’s national broadcast partners Univision/TUDN, Fox Sports and ESPN.
D.C. United will no longer be distributing our match telecasts through FloSports. Announcements on broadcast plans for the 2020 season and beyond will be made in due course.
