TAMPA, Fla. (Via Super Y League) – The Super Y League announced today that SCOUTINGZONE, a mobile scouting app, has become a national partner of the league and the SYL North American Finals.

The SCOUTINGZONE mobile app will replace the printed scouting booklet that has been handed out at previous SYL events and will provide a much more user-friendly, digital player database for college scouts to view profiles, make notes, and sync with their NCAA compliance software.

Through the partnership, all players at the 2015 SYL North American Finals will receive a free profile on SCOUTINGZONE, and college scouts in attendance will receive a complimentary membership.

“The Super Y League is delighted to partner with SCOUTINGZONE in order to have its service and digital platform available for all coaches and scouts attending the 2015 SYL North American Finals,” said USL Academy Executive Director Gordon Bengtson. “The cutting-edge technology will make it far easier for players to be located, identified and contacted at the Super Y League’s championship event. Simplifying and streamlining the process for those evaluating the talent is crucial. As Super Y League players look to make the move to the college ranks, this new relationship with SCOUTINGZONE will save valuable time for all parties involved in the player identification process.”

SCOUTINGZONE provides a comprehensive “virtual” database of player profiles where both soccer scouts and athletes will maximize their opportunities to find the perfect match. Geared toward college soccer, SCOUTINGZONE provides scouts with immediate real-time access to player profiles from throughout the country.

While the current format of profile booklets offers limited data, SCOUTINGZONE provides detailed personal, academic and athletic information about players via a convenient mobile app.

“The availability of player profiles at every coach’s fingertips makes SCOUTINGZONE a major step forward in recruiting for players,” said Tara Parker, who along with Brooke Oxberry founded SCOUTINGZONE. “We are very pleased to partner with the Super Y League to make this service available for the top-level players set to compete at the SYL North American Finals.”

The 2015 Super Y League North American Finals presented by Nike are set for December 11-15, 2015 at the world-class facilities of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The North American Finals assembles the best regular season performers in the Super Y League in one location to determine which teams will be crowned champions.

In addition to the competition itself, the event provides a platform for players to be scouted by the college coaches in attendance and the Super Y League scouting staff.

Standout performances create opportunities to play college soccer, earn invitations to Regional Scouting Series events and nominations to the Super Y League National Player Pool.
