NEW YORK & MEXICO CITY (Via SUM Communications) – The Mexican National Team will kick off its 14th Annual U.S. Tour on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 (8 p.m. ET) at Marlins Park in Miami, against African standout Senegal. It will be the only opportunity for both national teams to fine-tune their lineups ahead of their important March dates.

While Mexico will use the game as preparation for their series against Canada in CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, Senegal will look to tune-up their squad before facing Niger in the March qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Additional matches for the 2016 Mexican National Team U.S. Tour will be announced at a later date.

The game will mark the U.S. Tour debut of Mexico Head Coach Juan Carlos Osorio. Osorio is 2-0 since taking over the Mexican National Team in mid-October, with both wins coming in the most recent World Cup qualifying matches in November.

Osorio is no stranger to the United States and North American soccer, having immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia and coached several seasons in Major League Soccer, including leading the New York Red Bulls to their only MLS Cup appearance in 2008.

The February 10 international match will be the second time ever that both national teams meet. The first time they faced each other was on May 10, 2010 at Soldier Field in Chicago that resulted in a 1-0 win for Mexico in front of a sold-out crowd of 60,610 fans, as part of the 2010 Mexican National Team U.S. Tour.

The match at Marlins Park will be the Mexican National Team’s first in the Miami area in four years. Mexico last played in the area in February 2012 against Colombia, also part of the Annual Mexican National Team U.S. Tour.
