EDP hires John Saunders as Technical Director

(Via EDP Soccer) – The Elite Development Program (EDP) has hired John Saunders as the league’s Technical Director. In his role, Saunders will be in charge of liaising with EDP clubs to offer guidance and vision to youth development and coaching education programming.

Saunders brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role after coaching in England and the USA. Having completed UEFA C & B Licenses, he is currently working toward his A License. He has also gained a number of coaching qualifications in the USA.

As a youth player, Saunders trained at both Everton FC and Liverpool FC academies before pursuing a senior career at Oldham Athletic FC in England. He also worked in roles at clubs such as Liverpool FC and Wigan Athletic.

In the USA, Saunders has coached in New Jersey for over 10 years and has also directed soccer clubs and organizations building a strong reputation for youth development and coaching education in the area.
