SEATTLE, WASH. (Via Seattle Sounders FC) – U.S. Soccer today announced that Sounders FC defender Brad Evans has been added to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster for its annual January Camp in Carson, California. The first training camp of 2016 runs until February 6 and contains a mix of Senior Team members and a host of players age-eligible for the U-23 Men’s National Team, culminating with friendlies against Iceland and Canada.

Evans, 30, has 25 career international caps, including eight caps in 2015, and recorded the game-winning assist in the USMNT’s 2-1 win at Germany on June 10 of last year. He has one international goal – a stoppage-time winner at Jamaica on June 7, 2013, the latest match-winning goal in U.S. FIFA World Cup Qualifying history. Evans made four appearances for the USMNT at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The USMNT is set to play its first two competitive matches of the 2016 calendar year following January Camp, beginning with a matchup with Iceland on Sunday, January 31 at 12:45 p.m. PT (ESPN2, UniMas, UDN). Klinsmann’s squad then takes on CONCACAF rival Canada the following Friday, February 5 at 7:15 p.m. PT (FS1, UniMas, UDN). Both matches are taking place at StubHub Center in Carson, California.
