Mia Hoen-Beck leads McLean U-16s to sweep at Texas ECNL National Event

By Jimmy LaRoue

Led by Mia Hoen-Beck, McLean Youth Soccer’s Under-16 ECNL squad was the only area team to produce a sweep at the league’s latest National Event last weekend in Frisco, Texas.

McLean defeated FC Dallas, Sporting Blue Valley and St. Louis Scott Gallagher, the latter two of the Midwest Conference.

Hoen-Beck continued to impress, picking up four goals in McLean’s three matches, one in McLean’s 2-0 win over FC Dallas, two more in a 2-1 win over Sporting Blue Valley and another in McLean’s 2-1 win over St. Louis Scott Gallagher.

Hoen-Beck has scored 20 goals in 16 games this season.

Elizabeth Ball and the Richmond Strikers U-17s also had a nice event, as they picked up two wins over the weekend.
