ECNL: Under-14 Inter-Conference Event takes spotlight

FC Stars of Massachusetts had a dominant weekend at the ECNL’s Under-14 Inter-Conference Event at the River City Sportsplex in Richmond, Va. last weekend.
FC Stars, 7-1-0 in Northeast Conference play, opened with a 9-0 win over Virginia Rush Saturday morning and followed that in the afternoon squeaking by Freestate Soccer Alliance, 2-1. On Sunday, FC Stars scored a 7-0 win over Richmond Strikers.
They’re not immune to wide margins of victory, having won conference games by 7-0, 11-3, 6-0, 10-0 and 8-0 margins.
Mid-Atlantic Conference U-14 sides Bethesda SC and FC Virginia each swept their three games, with Bethesda defeating CASL Chelsea Ladies 1-0, VSI West FL Flames 7-1 and Orlando City YS 1-0, while FC Virginia defeated the same three clubs–2-0 over Orlando City, 1-0 over CASL and 3-0 over VSI West FL Flames.
Charlotte Soccer Academy, 4-1-2 in the Southeast Conference, swept its three games during the Inter-Conference Event, defeating three Mid-Atlantic Conference clubs–3-0 over Richmond Strikers, 3-0 over Virginia Rush and 2-1 over Freestate Soccer Alliance.
Concorde Fire, 6-0-5 in Southeast Conference play, also had a strong showing in Richmond, picking up three wins. Fire opened Saturday with a 1-0 shutout of Penn Fusion, then defeated Richmond Strikers 5-1 later that afternoon and continued its strong showing Sunday with a 2-1 win over Internationals.
Outside of the showcase, Solar-Chelsea Soccer Club scored two dominating wins over conference foes, 9-1 over AHFC and 7-0 over Challenge SC. In Solar-Chelsea’s win over AHFC, Madison Williams scored a hat trick, while Rebecca Keane, Taryn Torres and Adrianna Jimmerson combined for seven assists. Hannah Webb added a brace, while Torres, Keely Morrow, Mary Moore and Cameron Huddleston added goals.
In Sunday’s win, Jimmerson had a hat-trick, with Moore, Morrow and Williams adding a goal and an assist each. Torres added two assists in Sunday’s win.
Moore and Williams lead Solar-Chelsea with 11 goals each, with Moore adding seven assists. Three others–Morrow, April Pate and Torres, each have six goals, with Torres tallying 11 assists. Jimmerson has five goals and four assists, while Emile Harvey has four goals and four assists.
