CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – The Under-16 Girls’ National Team will finish its 2016 schedule of events with a training camp running from Dec. 3-10 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. It will be the sixth event of the year for this age group and its fourth domestic camp.

This will be the final U.S. Soccer event at the OTC before it reverts from a U.S. Olympic Committee-run facility to a city-run facility. U.S. Soccer has been holding training camps in Chula Vista since the complex opened in 1995 and will continue to do so under the new operating format.

U.S. head coach Jaime Frias has called up 24 players, all born in 2000. This age group is at the end of the second year of a two-year cycle before becoming the U-18s and then the U-20s with the goal of playing in the 2020 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
